Privacy Policy
This privacy policy explains how SS Gate Solutions Ltd collects, uses and protects your information when you use our website.
Who We Are
We are SS Gate Solutions Ltd (company number 16407905), a UK-based provider of automated gate and security systems. Our registered office is 23a Longsight, Bolton, Lancashire, BL2 3HS. You can contact us at contact@ssgatesolutions.co.uk or on 07922 253210.
What We Collect
We may collect the following information when you use our site:
- Details you submit via contact forms (such as your name, phone number and email address)
- Anonymous visitor statistics, such as the pages viewed and clicks on our phone and WhatsApp buttons (see “Cookies and Tracking” below)
- With your consent, website usage data collected by Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity, and advertising measurement data collected by Google Ads
How We Use This Information
We use your information for the following purposes:
- To respond to enquiries: We use the details you send us to respond to messages or provide quotes.
- To improve our website: We look at how people use our site so we can improve it over time.
- To measure our advertising: With your consent, we use Google Ads to see whether our adverts lead to calls, WhatsApp messages or enquiries.
Lawful Basis for Processing
We process your data under one or more of the following legal bases:
- Consent: When you actively submit a form, or accept analytics or advertising cookies through our cookie banner.
- Legitimate interest: For anonymous visitor statistics that we use only to improve our website.
- Legal obligation: If we are required to keep certain records for compliance reasons.
How Long We Keep Your Data
We retain enquiry form submissions and emails for up to 12 months, unless a longer period is needed for ongoing support or legal reasons. Google Analytics data is kept for 14 months. Anonymous visitor statistics are kept on our own website server.
Cookies and Tracking
We use the following cookies and similar technologies. You can see the full list of cookies in our Cookie Policy, and you can change or withdraw your consent at any time using the “Manage consent” tab on any page.
- Essential: Needed to make the site work and to remember your cookie choices.
- Anonymous visitor statistics (no consent needed): We use Burst Statistics, which runs on our own website server. It counts visits, the pages viewed and clicks on our phone and WhatsApp buttons, and records when our contact form is sent. It sets no cookies, does not build a profile of you, and the data is never shared with anyone else. We use it only to improve our website, as permitted by the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations as amended by the Data (Use and Access) Act 2025.
- Analytics (only with your consent): Google Analytics 4 (provided by Google) and Microsoft Clarity (provided by Microsoft) help us understand how visitors use the site, for example which pages are viewed and how people scroll and click. Clarity’s heatmaps and session recordings hide what you type into forms by default.
- Advertising (only with your consent): Google Ads (provided by Google) helps us see whether our adverts lead to calls, WhatsApp messages or enquiries.
These tools are loaded through Google Tag Manager, which does not set cookies itself. Our site respects “Do Not Track” and Global Privacy Control signals from your browser.
Opting out of anonymous statistics
You can object to our anonymous visitor statistics at any time, free of charge. Use the button below, or turn on “Do Not Track” or Global Privacy Control in your browser.
Third-Party Services and International Transfers
